Another haunting over....

And so another Halloween comes to a close. I have to say, it was a perfect evening for trick-or-treating. It was just slightly cool outside (I had on a zip up sweatshirt and shorts), with a lovely breeze. We started out at 6:15, and I was back in the house by 7:00! I just can't get over the fact that trick-or-treating down here is not a big deal. We had 3 people at our door. My mom had 3 people....she lives in a condominium complex with tons of kids. Of course, this does mean that by the end of the evening, people are throwing fistfulls of candy into wee one's bag, just to get rid of it! LOL....

Betsy did stay home and hand out the candy. I had wee one walk up to the door to try it out....just to see if Betsy would actually answer. She passed with flying colors! It was a very quiet night for her, sitting here at the computer, talking to her other friends who got stuck at home with candy duty.

Today is my favorite day....it's "undecorating" day! LOL....I will spend my time taking down and putting away the Halloween decorations. For me, it's kind of like the "lemon ice, palette cleansing" part of a fancy meal. I'll give the house a little breather before the Christmas decorating starts in a few weeks. I have a few turkeys I'll put up for Thanksgiving, but nothing too outlandish. When the girls were really little, I would have all of the undecorating done by midnight on Halloween! LOL.  I've settled down a bit since then....

Well, I'm off to flip calendars and put my jack-o-lanterns to rest for another year....

I love it, I love it, I love it.  What a perfect, good old fashioned, comfy wonderful Halloween.  You are such a wonderful mom, making such special memories for your kids.  They will treasure these when they are older and will probably make the same memories for their kids.  You are so on top of things...getting those decorations down already!  I'm still cleaning up from last night!  (LOL)

PS...I love the pictures too!

Wee one is striking in that costume!!!!!  Very, very pretty!  Hot dog corn muffins?!?!?  Why have I not even heard of these?!?!  And, trick or treating in shorts?  I will never get used to talk about the holidays in Florida.  I am surprised you didn't have your Christmas decorations up by midnight last night.  ;)
Hugs and love,
Lisa

Wee One looked great!!  Trick or Treating here isn't a big deal either unless you little in a really close "community neighborhood".  Where all the streets are connected to each other.  I hope you have fun undecorating.  I will be doing the same thing sometime today or tomorrow.  I can't stand to see decorations that are out of season still sitting out!  Anyway, have a great day!!!*~*Emily

LOL Ha ha we usually leave the halloween decor up till the christmas stuff is ready to go up. You are Bree Vandecamp! LOL

I wanted my daughter to stay home and take my little one trick or treating. I offered them 20 bucks a piece. LOL She was like "No we have a life" But they took her to one house. I had a huge pot full of candy when I started out yesterday and there's hardly nothing left. Brianna sat on the porch in her little chair and gave the millions of kids candy and she was so mean about, "ONLY TAKE ONE! JUST ONE, I SAID JUST ONE!" lol SHE'S GONNA BE A MEAN OLD LADY SOMEDAY.

Trick or Treating was kind of a bust for us, too!!!  Remember as a kid.....we were still out at 9 or so, and people were STILL giving out candy!!  ::Amy sighs::

My kids love to dress up and go get candy too.  This year Aaron said something that horrified me... something about trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat, or if you don't I don't care, I'll just look down your underwear!  I just wanted to die.  Plus I had the flu and didn't have the energy to stop him... he said this three times before it dawned on him that mom was very upset.  Nick did not pass the stay home and pass out candy test.  Hugs,
Lisa
