Well, I'm waiting on a call back from the doctor's office. Betsy is still in a lot of pain....wait....okay they just called me back. She is going in this afternoon. Thank goodness. I figured with it being a holiday weekend, I had better get her in when I could. I hope she doesn't have to go to the hospital....
In other news....
Well, there really is no other news. Today is cleaning day....but my mop is broken. I took it apart and showed it to my maintenance man, and he said it is not fixable because a tiny piece of plastic had broken off. Dang it. Now I have to buy a new mop. Of course, being a lover of cleaning supplies, this means I can go out and peruse the vast and varied selection of mops my local WalMart holds. Although, they really don't have much of a selection....and I'm rather specific about my mops. I prefer the cloth strips to the foam heads, and I like the kind that have the little "scrubbies" built in. Oh, I'm sure I will find one to my liking....not to worry!
I just finished four loads of laundry; washed, dried, folded and put away....and wouldn't you know I have another load staring me in the face. What is it with these people? They won't wear anything more than once. Now, there are certain things that you need to wash after one wearing, but there are others that can be worn two or three times before a wash. However, my family seems to think that if it touches your body for more than, oh say, five minutes....it needs to be washed. Wee one is famous for this. She will change out of her school clothes to play clothes, wear them for a few hours in the house doing homework or playing video games, computer, whatever....nothing sweaty or dirty....then when it comes to bedtime she will take them off and throw them in the laundry basket rather than fold them back up. What is with that? Typical kid....lol.
You know, I seem to have lots of issues with laundry. I wonder what a psychiatrist would say about that?
Well, I need to get myself cleaned up so that I can take Betsy to the doctor. I'll report back later on what they found or decided to do. Until then....

I too enjoy a clean house, so I get involved in the selection of products to use.
The one thing I love is those scrubbing sponges with the bleech in them.
They work wonders.
Laundry...................................
We have four kids and they do that constantly.
With 6 people in the house, we have to do at least 2 loads a day just to keep up.
Thank Goodness we have a Maytag...............

If you've picked the right psychiatrist, he'd say you needed a maid! hee hee hee...

I hope Betsy feels better after heading to her doctor's appointment! Hopefully they can treat whatever ails her. As far as laundry goes, I have to do about 2 loads every single day. It's the only way we can keep up. And, I am the worst abuser of the wearing something for 5 minutes and then putting it in the laundry in this house! LOL!
Hugs and love,
Lisa
P.S.: Good luck finding your perfect mop! ;)
Oh that was some nap you took. LOL You're a maniaccccccccccc! I use a sponge mop and they have the little scrubby things but mostly I use two towels to mop. A wet and a dry.
Let us know what happens at the doctors.
Note to Hadonfield: Our washer just died. It was a maytag and it was only 5 years old. The repair man who delivered the sad news told me to only expect 5 - 7 years out of a new machine! What a racquet!!!

Oh no, don't remind me of laundry! My family are the same as yours with the touching the body for more than 5 minutes thing. The problem with me is I have such a lot of conflicting age ranges - there's the 4 year who thinks all her clothes are dress-up clothes, so when they're all in a pile on the floor I have to re-fold, even re-iron some things; and the moment I've put the last thing away again, the 2 year old comes toddling by to empty them all out again. Then there's the 2 untidy boys and the 2 fussy tweenagers with the pile of not-quite-the-right-look clothes in the corner! Phew! I'm wondering why I'm not as thin as a rake with the amount of work this house takes to maintain!!

I hope Betsy feels better soon. Oh I cant even stand the sight of laundry right now. I pulled out a bunch of last years fall clothes and they are sitting in a 3 foot tall pile in my entry way lol. My bedroom which was spotless 2 days ago has a load ...in the middle of the floor! guess what.. they arent even mine! I did 5 loads last night and barely made a dent lol.. guess I better get hoppin.
I prefer the cloth mops over the sponge mops but I need that scrubby thing... with 2 kids and a slob for a husband Im ALWAYS scrubbing something off the floor..
Take Care
I hope Betsy feels better soon, sounds like another kidney stone to me and I pray that it isn't though................Jules xxxxxx
