Oh Bree....I can always count on you to make me laugh so hard that I wake my husband up out of a deep sleep. Did anyone else find the funeral scene completely hysterical....in a sad, sweet sort of way? I think the show was really good last night....although there were a few things that were sort of overdone. I mean, Mike and Susan breaking up again? Oh come on. They just got back together. And Zach is Mike's son? Well, I hate to speak ill of the dead but his birth mother must have been quite unattractive. I mean, with a hottie hunk like that for a dad you would have thought the kid would have inherited some of dad's good looks....And Gabrielle doctoring the paternity test results....who didn't see that one coming? I have to say, I enjoyed Lynette going for the interview with the baby, and her husband lying on the floor crying in pain because of his back. Welcome to the wonderful world of stay at home parenting, buddy! Oh yes, the new neighbors....who is the mystery man in shackles in the basement? And the son isn't too bad on the eyes either. This storyline does look promising. Classic quote of the evening? When Bree is threatening the minister to take the funeral out of his church. "I will go non-denominational on you so fast your head will spin!" Priceless....
In other news....(there is other news besides DH?)....I am going to go insane if my dog does not stop barking. I feel bad for him, I truly do. But if I am out of his site for one minute, he starts yelping....continuously....for hours. My nerves are raw at this point. And it echoes through the house, outside, down the block....it's driving all of us crazy. I just can't pick him up and move him room to room all day. I try to keep him in a general location so that I am passing by every few minutes. But it seems that even that isn't good enough. And I think he is getting smarter....he will bark until I'm on the edge of insanity, and am forced to sit down with him for a minute. As soon as my butt hits the floor, he lays down and relaxes. But like a baby who has trained it's mother, the second I stand up he starts this quiet whining, which turns into barking within seconds. And if I turn to look at him, he gives me this sheepish look as if to say, "You know what you have to do to get me to stop." Arrrgggghhhhh! I've still got him on two steroids a day, but it is not doing any good. I would say he is worse. I thought he was getting better, but yesterday he couldn't take any steps on his own, and wouldn't even walk with John without me holding his hips behind him. I don't know what we are going to do. He goes to the vet tomorrow, so I suppose I'll know more then.
Well, he is looking rather tired now, so I am going to go try and clean for a bit. Betsy is home with a migraine and I am going to try to get her into the doctor today. She said that this one was really bad, and actually made her sick, which has never happened before. She said she feels like she has a sinus infection as well. Here's hoping I can get her in today.
Later....

Yes, I feel the same about DH last night! I was begging my hubby to watch with me, and did elbow him during the funeral. That tie part was hilarious. Total Bree in action! Sorry about Percy. Sedative??? I hope you are both recovering quickly! and Betsy too. Yeesh, when I get migraines, I get very nauseous. . . I hope that she feels better, and good for going to the doc for the sinuses. Maybe that's why her migraine is so bad. . . Looks like you will have more antibiotics to go around! Cya, best to ya, Kris
I hope Betsy feels better! I bet it is a sinus infection on top of having a migraine, no fun at all. I don't watch DH, probably the only woman in the world that doesn't, but I have no interest. Sorry to hear that Percy isn't doing well either. That makes me sad. :(
Hugs and love,
Lisa
Awe poor percy...I wonder what he is trying to say? And poor you for having to deal with the barking. I'd have lost it already I'm sure. The funeral was hysterical, it was my favorite part of the show last night. I love how she walked out and let the door slam. And susan gets on my nerves really bad. I don't blame her for not wanting to be around Zach but she still annoys the hell out of me. Gabriel...lol how do you have a paternity test done without the fathers blood sample? How? how? LOL
Despite my journal name I haven't really watched Desperate Housewives before, but the way you've given this synopsis, it sounds like I've been missing out!
Sorry about Percy, the constant barking must be akin to the wailing of a baby, and we all know how that can jangle. Hopefully, the vet can sort him out, but in the meantime how about earplugs and valium? (for you!)

I don't watch DH either but I know many who do. Poor Betsy, I too have the beginnings of a sinus infection. No fun. I hope that the vet can help poor Percy.
And you for that matter. Good luck with the day.

OH yeah I was and Todd was kind of like oh GOD that was too quick to break up. NOPE that was not a good move. But yes I Loved BREE. The wya she shows love is a bit different but it was sweet and I was like why in the world did htey let her dr the paternity test.???? I mean really I have had one done and nO way can photo shop drs one of those or could it be docterd up any other way. If you saw them it would be nearly impossible. IM telling it the show messed up on that one. would have been better had they done it the way some soaps but to dr an already printed up test can not be done. as far as percy get him some valarian. it calms the dog and makes them releax he is just scared and maybe if he gets his walker he will calm down cuawse he can go where he wants. but yes try to check hte pet web site with herbs to calm his nervers. We have to give honey valareian and chamomeal before a camping trip or she pukes all over from riding backwards watching the big DOG HOUSE LOL that is following us. LOL Hpe betsy is better too soon I been dealing with miarans since Katrina does it have any atmothsperic presssue maybe that is whats cuaseing them cuase I hear so many complaining about them
hope Betsy feels better soon, migraines are horrible.............Jules xxxxxx

I thought the funeral scene was soooo funny. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.
I had a Siberian husky that had a gegenerating disk in his spine. He never did recover. He gradually grew worse.
"I will go non-denominational on you so fast your head will spin!"
That had me rolling. I am so curious to find out who that is in the basement.
::sigh:: I live for Sunday nights.

That barking would drive me crazy..he has you trained..lol..poor thing he knows who loves and takes care of him.
I love Bree she is the most interesting one I think.
hope your daughter and the poor dog gets some relief.
Your dog is like a child. He knows you are taking care of him and he wants...needs you by his side or at least where he can see you. It conforts him. He doesn't feel alone and scared. He doesn't know what is going on and you can't make him understand. My dog was like that. She died last May. She was 22.
LOL...I got your link off Double Blessings...I crack up at Bree all the time... She looked like she could blow at any minute, but yet she is soooo calm. I don't blame her, that was an ugly tie. I am curous to know who the "mystery Man" is as well...It was a great show...gonna be a good season. I agree on Susan and Mike...actually it seems every show I watch has the same story line, boy meets girl, fall in love, out of love and so on....Love your journal, will be back...

OMG I was ROLLING! That whole scene with the dad on the floor and the mom saying "Remember when you went to away and I had 104 fever and I still took the kids trick or treating? Now GET UP!" I was dying!!! I just looked over at hubby and he goes, "see, this is why I don't watch this with you! No matter what I end up in trouble!" LOL
Hi there! I'm a SAHM and was just browsing around similar journals and found your journal. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, you have an awesome journal! Take care and have a great week. :-)

I loved the funeral scene. I also loved Lynette's "leaving for work" scene. Most of all, I love looking at Mike. I loved him in "Philly" and love him still!
Boy, you have your hands full! Paralyzed dog, migraine daughter, lots of very large bugs....very interesting! Just a suggestion...ask your vet if he can sedate the dog for a few days till the steroids kick in and the wheelchair is ready. They gave me a light sedative to give my dog while she was paralyzed because they really didn't want her moving around too much at first. She slept alot and healed quicker. Good luck with your daughters migraines. I had them alot when I was younger but I seemed to have outgrown them. I really think mine were hormonally connected in some way. GOOD LUCK!
Jeanne
I hope that Percy is doing better. Good Luck at the vet's
