A few moments before dinner....

Oh but you should see my closet....sheer beauty! And I've got a huge bag for good will. It is so warm outside, I've got a tank top on! Dh is washing the truck and youngest is riding bikes with her aunt. Oldest is reading in her room, due to her "grounding". Nothing serious, just a glitch in the system. And where am I on this warm and beautiful day? Sitting here on the computer while dinner is cooking. I was going to take one of my books out to the swing and read....but I had to wait for the turnips to boil.

Speaking of my books, yesterday while strolling down the aisles of the library, I heard something strange. I didn't know what it was, but it sounded like a machine that kept groaning on and off. As I got closer to the back, I realized it was snoring! A woman was all curled up in a chair by the wall, sawing logs! There was an older man sitting right next to her, reading, so I guess they were together. Either that or his hearing aid had a low battery. Very odd.

In answer to Karensull's question....yes, I do listen to Judge Mathis while I'm cleaning. And Judge Marilyn Milian. Its very entertaining to hear how petty people can be. I love it when the judgement is something crazy like $20.00. Oh, I forgot about Judge Larry Joe from Texas Justice....ye haaaaaa!

Well, the turnips are done, the ham is glazed to perfection and the corn is ready....time for dinner! (Lanny, I saved you some cake, but since you bought your own, I'll just eat it! ;o)

Okay, hearing about you wearing a tank top today while I sit here in NY freezing, I can honestly say is the ONLY time I ever wished I were in Florida. LOL!

I don't feel guilty enjoying the weather. I had all my windows open, there was a wonderful breeze. It was gorgeous today! I'm with you, it was a beach day. Alas, it will only end up so hot here in a few short months, everything will feel sticky and yucky and the ice cream will melt on the walk from the store to the car. Ugh! Glad your closet is pretty. Can I hire you for mine? LOL ~Melissa

You are very annoying with all your cleaning talk. Just kidding. Do you ever sit still???? I like Judge Milian and Judge Judy, but I can live without Judge Mathis. And the Texas guy--I can live without him too. Have a good night...

Let's see.... dd had a tv dinner, evy unbelievable asked for something other than chicken nuggets, he wanted little star soup and carrots with dip , I had 2 doughnuts and coffee, I don't know dh found in the fridge. But the stew is done so I'm sure before bed we will all have a bowl. Just like the 3 bears. Oh and he bought Mancini bread too. That is a very popular fresh baked bread in Pittsburgh, made right here in my town.

I ended up staying inside all day too and it was so beautiful out! But journals are too ;-) I ended up making stuffed shells, meatballs, caesar salad and garlic bread. Yummy! Everything you made sounds great (I've been dying for a ham all week!) I've never made turnips. In fact I've never eaten a turnip! Are they good? Seriously!

This is sooo funny about the woman sleeping and snoring in the library. LOL Oh and I like turnips raw if they are not the strong kind. Paula
